Low Vision is a visual impairment resulting from eye disease, trauma or stroke--not correctable by surgery, standard eyeglasses or contact lenses. Macular Degeneration, Diabetes, Glaucoma, Strokes and Cataracts are among the leading causes of vision loss in adults. Until cures are found, clients need to get through each day with a sense of independence and safety.
The staff at the Lions Low Vision Center can teach the visually impaired person new ways to utilize remaining eyesight. We provide the necessary aids and devices that can increase independence and ease activities of daily living.
All clients must be under the care of an eye care provider and must have a report from that provider in order to be seen by the Lions Low Vision Center.
